    The MRI technologist works under the supervision of the radiologists and management team to acquire diagnostic images for interpretation; injects and distributes contrast for anatomy enhancement; screens all patients, staff, and objects which enter the MRI suite; assists with invasive procedures as requested.

    Currently offering up to a $10,000 sign on bonus for qualified applicant.
    This is a full time, weekend shift position working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

    Equipment used: Siemens Symphony 1.5T and Toshiba Titan 1.5 T. Coming soon: Siemens Magnetom Altea 1.5T

    Required Education:
    Associates in Radiologic Science and/or graduation from an A.R.R.T. accredited program

    Preferred Education:
    Bachelors in Radiologic Science

    Required Technical Skills:

    1. Excellent organizational, interpersonal relationship, decision making and patient care skills.
    2. Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, positioning, techniques, and both radiation and MRI protection and safety.
    3. Knowledge of radiographic and MRI physics.
    4. Knowledge of medical terminology.
    5. Extensive knowledge of MRI safety to keep everyone safe in or around the MRI unit.
    6. Ability to examine images for the purpose of evaluation of techniques, positions, and other related qualities.
    7. Ability to position patient and adjust equipment to produce desired or optimum image of desired anatomy.
    8. Skill in safe and efficient operation of MRI equipment.
    9. Ability to deviate from normal techniques when necessary to develop new and better techniques to keep the department up to date.
    10. Veni-puncture and comprehensive knowledge of proper use of contrast and injection of such contrast for patient exams.
    11. Ability to determine proper protocols to achieve optimum diagnostic images with high degree of efficiency.


    Required Licensure/Registration/Certification:
    R.T. ( R ) ARRT, Texas License, and BLS CPR

    Preferred Licensure/Registration/Certification:
    R.T. ( R ) (MR) ARRT

    Required Experience:
    Minimum six months experience working in MRI

    Preferred Experience:
    Greater than one years experience working in MRI
