- Specifying and ordering hardware and electrical components for physical props & assets
- Designing electrical control boxes to interface between software inputs and mechanical outputs (sensors, actuators, lights, etc.)
- Preparing wiring diagrams and documentation
- Assembling and wiring up physical assets
- Help prototype & test puzzles, props, and interactions with members of the public
- Helping organize and maintain a workshop and studio space
Who We're Looking For - You are familiar with all or most of the following elements: Arduino, PLCs, DIN Rail, Electrical Enclosures, multi-channel audio output, speakers and amplifiers, commercial projectors, Raspberry Pis, linear actuators, rotary encoders, individually addressable LED strips, DMX, theatre lighting, fog machines
- You are familiar with standard workshop tools (power drills, saws, hand tools, etc.)
- You take ownership of tasks, working holistically and proactively to see them through
- You make decisions quickly and problem-solve when a choice isn't working
- You notice what needs doing and take the initiative to figure out a solution
- You don't let questions or assumptions linger and seek answers via multiple resources
- Willingess to do occasional travel for testing, research, and more
- Enthusiasm for immersive/location-based entertainment
