    Location Description:

    Northfield, Minn. is home to two Post Consumer Brands manufacturing plants, the Campbell Mill and Ames Mill, two distribution centers, and more than 750 team members. The Campbell Mill plant is 1 million square feet and is home to 7 manufacturing technologies to produce a wide variety of cereal products our customers know and love. Northfield is a town steeped in history, featuring two colleges and the original Ames Mill where the Malt-O-Meal Company got its start.

    Responsibilities:

    Job Function

    The Distribution Center Supervisor is responsible for providing the best possible services to our internal and external customers by directing Distribution Center workers in the receiving, storage, PPA support, selection and shipping of our high-quality products and ensuring efficient, economical and safe handling of warehouse merchandise and equipment. Responsible for the skill development of warehouse team members and office staff. Will back up site distribution manager as assigned.

    Job Activities

    1. Customer Focus Achieve and maintain alignment in the value chain between suppliers, MOM Brands and the Customer
    2. Maintain shipping/receiving schedules and Posts high-quality standards of food safety, inventory accuracy and documentation.

    Food Safety Expertise

    1. Serve as Lead Distribution SQF Practitioner.
    2. Have completed a HACCP, SQF, Food Defense, Internal Auditor, PCQI Training Coursework
    3. Oversee the development, implementation, review, and maintenance of the SQF System and stay current with all regulatory updates.
    4. Ensure that all company food safety, defense, security, and quality assurance procedures are followed and documented.

    EHS & Site Safety Manager

    1. Serve as the site safety expert and champion.
    2. Conducts safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective actions, and implement follow up assessments.
    3. Plans, implements, and conducts preventative care, safety, FLIP, and compliance training programs.

    Labor Management

    1. Develops an effective team to achieve expected business results.
    2. Manages employee work schedules, assigns work as needed, communicates company messages and validates payroll.
    3. Manage hourly staff performance through yearly reviews by coaching and giving feedback.

    Qualifications:

    Job Requirements

    Education Bachelors degree preferred

    Experience 4 years supervisory responsibility in distribution or food manufacturing; food warehousing/production operations experience in a team environment is ideal.

    1. Thorough understanding of warehouse operations within a distribution environment
    2. knowledge of industry and government regulations
    3. Experience in team building, self-motivated, dependable, organized, customer service oriented, and self-sufficient
    4. Flexibility in work schedule
    5. Excellent interpersonal skills, including listening and follow-through; excellent communication skills
    6. Ability to operate in a high stress, dynamic environment, ability to create original correspondence
    7. Good computer skills

    1. Evaluates staffing levels and staff utilization; recommends solutions to improving performance and productivity while balancing costs and service requirements
