    Lead teams of specialists or individually conduct in-depth studies, reviews, evaluations, and assessments of issues and proposals assigned.

    Utilize expert skills in studying work methods, administrative guidelines, procedures, utilization of human resources, work assignments, delegations of authority, management controls, information and documentation systems, etc.

    Analyze and evaluate findings and recommend more efficient, effective and economical ways to accomplish workload and program objectives.
    Participate in planning sessions.
    Establish and maintain contacts with other Government agencies and private organizations to exchange information.
    Design and conduct comprehensive management studies to identify and propose solutions to management problems.

    Requirements

    Conditions of Employment

    U.S. Citizenship requirement or proof of being a U.S. National must be met by closing date.
    Employment is subject to the successful completion of the pre-appointment process (i.e., background investigation, verification of qualifications and job requirements, completion of onboarding forms, submission of required documents, etc.)
    Males born after December 31, 1959 must be registered with the Selective Service.

    Qualifications

    To qualify for a Management Analyst position at the GS level, you must have:


    1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: Leading studies employing qualitative (e.g., focus groups, individual interviews, observations) and quantitative (e.g., surveys, cost-benefit analyses, feasibility studies) assessment methods to evaluate the effectiveness of policies and procedures related to the management and administration of information systems, human capital planning, and financial and budgeting operations; performing analytical studies related to management operating procedures and organizational productivity; reviewing and editing administrative standard operating procedures affecting parent and subordinate offices; and, writing official reports to senior management on findings, recommendations, and implementation plans for improvements to administrative operations.

    You will receive credit for all experience material to the position, including experience gained in religious, civic, welfare, service, and organizational activities, regardless of whether you received pay.
