- Assist in review of fund financial statements and audits at year end.
- Maintain the General Ledger, including bank statement reconciliation, posting daily and month GL entries, and review and reconciliation of GL accounts.
- Review quarterly fund accounting calculations of NAV, management fees, capital calls, and distributions.
- Prepare monthly corporate financial statements.
- Supervise and coach other finance team members with the objective of accurate, timely, and proper financial reporting and controls.
- Conduct regular meetings with staff to review progress, discuss issues and resolve problems.
- Work with executive team to prepare the annual budget.
- Review accounting processes and procedures and evaluate for improvement.
- Recommend and/or implement new/improved field, office, and interdepartmental controls as necessary.
- Prepare and maintain accounting department procedures manual.
- Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or relevant field
- 7 plus years experience in accounting
- Public Accounting Experience
- Fund Accounting Experience
- Strong technical, analytical, communication and presentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
