Job Description
The Bartender is responsible for delivering strong guest relationships and delivering operational excellence of Cigar Paradise Royal Lounge location, as part of a team that achieves high results.
BARISTAS
The Baristas position will provide exceptional customer service while making hand-crafted, quality beverages. Maintains a clean and organized workspace. Provides quality beverages consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Baristas follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products. Baristas required the ability to learn quickly and understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification. Arranges coffee bar/cart supplies and cups/mugs to make attractive displays. Baristas maintain the bar/cart area in a neat and sanitary manner. Greets customers, take orders, mixes, and serves hot and cold drinks such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, cafe latte, tea, chai, fruit blend drinks, and others while considering customer specifications.
BARTENDERS
The Bartender's role is to provide exquisite service at all times, making the patrons the heart and passion of all they do. Always provides friendly and timely interaction with guests and team members. The ability to serve Gourmet Coffees and Craft Cocktails is required. Ready to suggest and answering questions, taking and delivering the guests' orders. Will bring cooperative service and following up to ensure each customer receives their correct drink order in the bar area and, through the service bar, to guests in the lounge room and outdoor patio. You'll be front and center working in many roles – everything from cashier to stocker – while providing outstanding customer service. You'll also assist Bar Management by merchandising product, monitoring inventory, and keeping the bar looking its best. Responsible for meeting or exceeding sales performance objectives as determined, communicated, and supervised by management. High School Diploma or High School equivalency preferred. Five or more years of related bartender experience. Alcohol awareness certification and familiarity with hospitality industry practices preferred. The position requires the ability to stand or walk for hours at a time; frequently required to hear, speak, walk, crawl, climb, stand, reach, bend, balance, kneel, stoop, lift and carry items up to 30 lbs. Cigar Knowledge is a plus.
Bartenders Essential Functions but not limited:
• Maintain a gracious, pleasant, and friendly attitude while contributing to a teamwork-based work environment.
• Guide guests through hot and cold beverage and promotional menus. Write down and repeat back guests' orders. Accurately input orders at the POS.
• Responsible for attention and prompt response to the bar guests' needs and requests throughout their entire visit.
• Present an accurate guest check, accept payment, and quickly complete the transaction.
• Answer the phone and assist with answering guest questions in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for sale to the lounge area, outdoor patio, and bar guests according to the Cigar Lounge Signature Cocktail recipes and quality standards, as specified in the recipe manual.
• Prepare bar, outdoor patio, and lounge area beverage orders promptly.
• Accountable for receiving accurate payment and balancing the cash drawer used during their shift daily/weekly bar inventories must correspond with cash totals.
• Stock all liquors, beer, wines, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and miscellaneous bar supplies.
• Open wine and champagne bottles as needed.
• Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in coolers, wells, sinks, floors, and other storage areas.
• Provide service in a way as to create new and repeat business and avoid guest complaints.
• Immediately notify management of incidents involving possible excessive alcohol consumption or an impaired condition.
• Report all tips in compliance with company policy and IRS regulations.
• Maintain clean bar and ashtrays, including proper removal of recycling trash and empty glasses.
• Ability to operate a tablet, POS System, calculator, phone, and other office equipment.
• Bartenders must act to attention to details with excellent organizational and efficient time management skills. Ensures accurate pouring; every drink made must be perfect.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient. Demonstrate a tenacious drive for results. Accountable for becoming a trusted, successful expert in the bar and consistently work as part of a team to exceed sales.
