- Works in partnership with nursing leadership and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff
- Develops, implements, and evaluates education plans/programs and utilizes methods, measurements, and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals
- Serves as a resource for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development
- Plans and provides for orientation onboarding activities to include classroom and skills/simulation lab learning
- Facilitates the onboarding of employees to ensure integration to the role on both unit and system-wide levels, focusing on retention and growth
- Assists in the development, coordination, and evaluation of competency programs and identifying deficiencies in staff competency
- Integrates research and evidence-based practice into the development of educational activities
- Participates in activities to promote the specialty of Nursing Professional Development
- Collaborates with their peers in the Professional Development team to provide hospital wide nursing education such as the nurse residency program, annual mandatory education and competencies, and product conversions.

Minimum 2 years pediatric nursing experience in Transport, PICU, ED, and/or NICU; Prior Neonatal/Pediatric Transport and EMS experience preferred.
Certification and Licensure:
PA Registered Nurse License, Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required; Pre-Hospital Registered Nurse (PHRN) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred.
