The Operational Excellence (OpEx) Regional Manager serves as a strategic partner and execution lead responsible for deploying The MCG Way across multiple locations within an assigned U.S. region.This role is essential to bridging enterprise strategy with frontline execution ensuring each site operates with discipline maturity and a focus on continuous improvement.
Responsibilities Lead the deployment of The MCG Way within the assigned region focusing on Strategy Deployment Operational Execution Continuous Improvement Create own and execute the Operational Excellence roadmap for the region broken down by location with defined priorities timelines and measurable targets to advance operational maturity Act as a strategic partner to site regional leadership by translating company strategy into day-to-day execution on the shop floor and in office functions Inclusive of Scorecard Projects Macro Plans Coach guide site-level Continuous Improvement Leaders functional teams to build capabilities drive sustainable improvement Facilitate Kaizen events focused on solving business-critical problems Drive adoption of foundational tools practices including Process Management Visual Factory Kaizen Real-Time Problem Resolution RTPR Root Cause Corrective Action RCCA Build culture daily accountability visual management operational discipline throughout the region Enable collaboration sites identifying standardizing scaling best practices Monitor performance metrics cross-functional problem solving close gaps Play key role in M&A activities region support assessment/due diligence phases leadership post-acquisition integration align operations The MCG Way Support organizational transformation change management initiatives aligned growth objectives Provide regular progress updates insights VP Operational Excellence executive stakeholders Requirements Bachelor degree Engineering Business Operations related field 7+ years progressive experience manufacturing operations consulting roles Lean Six Sigma Continuous Improvement Multi-site experience demonstrated success OpEx frameworks Proven track record leading large-scale efforts building organizational capability Exposure private equity M&A integration high-growth environments preferred Knowledge Hoshin Kanri methodologies preferred Skill/Abilities Deep knowledge Lean tools Strong command Six Sigma problem-solving tools Ability synthesize complex priorities translate executable actions Highly skilled influencing coaching facilitating levels organization Strong communication skills verbal written visual engaging aligning teams Data-driven solid analytical project management capabilities Comfortable shop-floor executive settings Work Environment Physical Demands FLSA salaried positions paid salary basis project requirements tight client deadlines may require workweeks over forty hours weekends holidays This role will be office setting frequent visits production floor oversee operations ensure compliance safety standards Mobility Ability move around manufacturing plant walking standing climbing stairs Manual Dexterity Occasional use hands handle feel objects tools controls Lifting Ability lift carry items twenty-five pounds lifting following OSHA standards Visual Auditory Requirements Must see hear safely navigate plant communicate effectively team members Frequent travel regional sites presence production floors expected Please note job description designed comprehensive listing activities duties responsibilities required employee this job Duties responsibilities activities change time notice Seniority level Director Employment type Full-time Job function Management Manufacturing Industries Electrical Equipment Manufacturing
