- Position and prepare patients for x-rays following established procedures on DR and traditional equipment.
- Provide guidance to patients on procedures and monitor their vital signs during examinations.
- Operate radiologic equipment while adhering to safety standards.
- Assess image properties such as density, contrast, and definition.
- Release patients after completing radiologic examinations.
- Maintain examination rooms and replenish medical supplies as needed.
- Ensure cleanliness and perform basic maintenance on radiologic equipment.
- Participate in staff training programs.
- Attend meetings and engage in committees as required.
- Adhere to OSHA regulations.
- Enhance professional development through educational initiatives.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by the department.
- Record and bill for x-rays.
- Answer phone calls in a professional and timely manner.
- Handle CD imports and manage account data accordingly.
- Create CDs for patients requesting imaging.
- Work at different Rebound locations as directed.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines.
- Execute other duties as delegated.
- Completion of an ARRT-approved course in Radiologic Technology.
- Current ARRT registration, Washington State certification, and Oregon radiologic technologic license.
- Valid healthcare provider BLS certification.
- Preferred minimum of one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Understanding of anatomy and physiology for precise radiography.
- Familiarity with radiology equipment and testing procedures.
- Awareness of common safety hazards in radiology.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and make adjustments.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
- Apply standardized work practices and written guidelines.
- Problem-solving skills and clear communication abilities.

Rebound is the leading orthopedic and neurosurgical practice in the Portland-Vancouver region, offering a wide range of specialties such as orthopedics, brain and spine care, sports medicine, physiatry, and physical therapy. Serving the community for over five decades, we are proud to be the team doctors for the Portland Trail Blazers, the Portland Winterhawks, and various collegiate teams.
We are currently seeking a per diem/PRN X-Ray Technologist to join our exceptional Ancillary team in Vancouver, WA. The role involves operating radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic x-ray films as instructed by physicians, conducting routine diagnostic procedures and special orthopedic views. The ideal candidate should exhibit strong organizational skills, a proactive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a collaborative mindset. Excellent interpersonal skills, a dedication to patient care, and the ability to work closely with patients and physicians are also essential. While the position is primarily based in Vancouver, occasional travel to our Portland locations will be necessary.
