    Brief Description

    The Senior Accountant is responsible for:

    • Applying generally accepted accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information.
    • Possesses a solid understanding of not-for-profit accounting principles.
    • Reconcile balance sheet account as assigned.
    • Proficient in leadership competencies related to leading self.
    Specific Duties

    Primary duties and responsibilities:

    • Monthly analysis, journal entries, and reconciliation of various revenue/expense and balance sheet accounts.
    • Assist in the preparation of audit schedules including financial statements and disclosures for the Foundation.
    • Assist with the generation of information for outside accounting firm in preparation of the annual 990-T returns for the Foundation.
    • Manage the monthly closing of the Foundation books.
    • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
    Knowledge/Skills Required/Preferred

    Personal:

    • Must be well organized.
    • Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.

    Professional:

    • Knowledge of standard financial concepts, practices, and procedures.
    • Must be able to meet critical deadlines.
    • Ability to succeed with managing change in a complex organization.

    Technical:

    • Proficient in Microsoft products
    • Experience preferred with Microsoft Dynamics D365
    Education/Experience
    Education

    • Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance.
    Experience

    • At least 3-5 years financial related work experience.
