- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
- Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef's instructions.
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food.
- Stock inventory appropriately.
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and membership.
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a Line Cook, Restaurant Cook or Prep Cook.
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
- Familiar with industry's best practices.
- Culinary school training a plus.

Position Overview:
Saucon Valley Country Club is searching for Prep/Pantry Cooks to join our exceptional culinary team. Led by Executive Chef Tim Rios, we are looking for motivated individuals to push the dining experience at Saucon Valley Country Club to the next level. Our culinary team is an essential part of our membership experience, working in tandem with our culinary leadership team to create a multitude of dining experiences. The right candidate loves to work in versatile and exciting kitchens, with menus ranging from casual to fine dining.
Job Duties:
Saucon Valley Country Club is committed to your professional development and will invest in your enrollment to complete the Certified Sous Chef or Certified Culinarian certification.
For over 45 years, the American Culinary Federation (ACF) has been the premier certifying body for cooks and chefs in America. Culinarians achieve certification based on education, experience, and successful completion of written and practical exams. The ACF's certification program is the only culinary program with stackable credentials and is recognized throughout the industry as the standard for excellence in professional skills and knowledge.
