- Regularly explore new markets, analyze disruptive industry trends and technologies, monitor competitors, and assess new business models.
- Develop demonstration/Proof of Concept projects, which constitute the starting point for new business models, the implementation of new technology, or the improvement of internal processes.
- Assists with the development of Networks energy storage roadmaps and planning via exploration of new ideas, partnerships, business models, and customer solutions to assess viability, benefits, and scalability across US Networks in alignment with Global strategy.
- Manages innovation demonstrations, pilots, and projects involving energy storage technology
- Prepares project work & and action plans, budgets, milestone schedules, and technical specifications by providing analytical expertise, performance tracking, and reporting, and partnership support.
- Develop and implement tools, spreadsheets, macros, and robust analysis to aid in the evaluation of use case data, project performance metrics, project budgets, and other associated data analytics required to support senior-level decision-making.
- Produces required compliance reports and represents AVANGRID Networks before various municipal, governmental, and/or regulatory entities.
- Assists affiliate companies including supporting regulatory proceedings (including but not limited to developing testimony, responding to data requests, etc.).
- Manages and coordinates efforts of cross-functional internal project teams, including holding regular program/project status meetings.

- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience preferred. Associates

- Experience in the development of project business cases, cost-benefit analysis, implementation, and action plans.
- Experience in tracking portfolio-level project plans with well-defined scope, budgets, schedule milestones, and performance against key metrics and indicators.
- Experience in achieving project results in high-pressure and high-profile assignments is required.
- Able to promote trust; work within a matrix environment, including collaboration within diverse, geographically dispersed teams.
- Strong project and process management, negotiation, financial analysis, and data mining skills.

Job Summary
Performs technical, analytical, and strategic analyses for the development of energy storage strategies, primarily in support of AVANGRID Networks' distribution and transmission businesses in New England and New York.
Manages various programs and projects with the objectives of timely and cost-effective completion and provides analytical support and advice to meet other business area objectives.
Reports to the Senior Manager of Smart Grids Innovation and Planning.The preferred location is Orange, CT, but the position may be located in Augusta, ME, Binghamton, NY, or Rochester, NY.
