The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services is seeking an experienced IT Applications Developer/Lead – MMIS to provide technical leadership for large-scale Medicaid systems that support critical healthcare services across the state.This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who excels at guiding development teams, managing complex application environments, and resolving high-impact production issues within IBM mainframe and DB2 systems.
The job duties include coordinating application developer work efforts while making assignments, monitoring progress and reviewing work including code and technical design for senior application analysts. Work with team leadership to balance analyst availability against request project portfolio needs. Lead technical business analysts to design solutions. Manage projects using project management practices tools. Coordinate system production support on-call responsibilities Analyze resolves complex production issues Provide input for team supervisor on project status teammate performance.
