    Part Time:
    • Tues 7:15am-2pm
    • Wed 6:45am-2pm
    • Thurs 6:45pm-2pm
    • Fri 7:15am-3:45pm
    Summary
    The Patient Service Representative is responsible for the patient check-in process, updating computer patient personal information and insurance information, handling a multi-line phone system, medical records filing and maintenance, and collection of co-pays and cash payments.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Functions
    • Performs opening and closing clinic duties
    • Greets patients, checks in for appointments and verifies insurance
    • Scans documents into electronic health recordMaintains tidiness of waiting area and reception counter throughout the day
    • Checks schedules for added, canceled and no-show appointments throughout the day
    • Schedules follow up appointments as needed
    • Responds to designated tasks in the electronic health record
    • Orders clinic office supplies
    • Sells and tracks cosmetic products
    • Distributes mail
    • Prepares for next day scheduled appointments
    Qualifications

    Education

    High school diploma or equivalent is required

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
    • 1-2 years of recent medical office experience or in a similar capacity is preferred.
    • Proficient in basic computer functions.
    • Ability to learn new software quickly.
    • Must possess excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills.
    • Ability to operate standard office equipment.
    • Ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm is preferred.
    • Must possess attention to detail.
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team.
    • Ability to respond positively to constructive feedback and direction from supervisors.
    • Must demonstrate professional appearance and manner at all times.
    • Must display a friendly, cheerful, tactful, and polite demeanor, and must be compassionate and caring in dealing with others.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
