    An Insurance client of Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Programmer Analyst to join their PolicyLink Team within the Life and Annuity Systems area of the Application Development Division.

    This person should be an experienced application developer who can pair technical concepts and skills with knowledge of the Companys internal policies and procedures to solve complex problems in creative, effective, and efficient ways to support Annuity product development.

    This person will primarily be responsible for enhancements, new development, and maintenance of annuity and payout administration systems. There are plans to bring in even more Annuity products that will require custom programming and support. This role is expected on-site 5 days per week in Galveston, TX.

    Experience with Agile and Scrum Methodologies

    Programming experience with PolicyLink

    Annuity knowledge
    4+ years of Application Development experience, primarily with Visual COBOL, SQL Server, and REST, and/or SOAP

    Mathematics, Actuarial Science or IT-related bachelors degree, or application programming experience

    Accounting, valuation, and/or product development and programming experience

    Understanding of business requirements and/or actuarial product specifications and can relate these to the supporting system requirements producing technical specifications
