    JOB DESCRIPTION
    Summary

    We are committed to delivering the highest quality boats to our customers while continually striving for operational excellence and efficiency.

    As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team and drive our continuous improvement initiatives forward.

    Key Responsibilities

    Lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects across all areas of the organization, including manufacturing, operations, quality, and support functions.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze current processes, identify root causes of inefficiencies or defects, and develop solutions to address them.

    When opportunities are presented, utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools to identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and cost savings.

    Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and measure the impact of continuous improvement initiatives.
    Provide training and coaching to employees at all levels of the organization on continuous improvement concepts and methodologies. As well as formal training during process change implementations.

    Drive a culture of continuous improvement by promoting best practices, fostering innovation, and empowering employees to take ownership of process improvements.

    Partner with management to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives that support the company's goals and objectives.
    Collaborates with engineers and support teams to design cost-effective tools during implementation.

    Design, redesign, or enhance work areas and layouts so that awkward or uncomfortable positions, repetitive motions, and inefficient operations are reduced or eliminated.

    Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in continuous improvement and quality management in order to incorporate them into the organization's practices and processes.

    Performs other duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications
    Willingness to be

    in the manufacturing floor for the first 6 months

    on the job, to learn all production processes through engagement.
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. Five years proven experience as Continuous Improvement Engineer in lieu of degree.
    Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor multiple projects simultaneously.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and identify opportunities for improvement.

    Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.

    Thorough understanding of ergonomics and applicable industry standards.
    At least 1 year of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
    CAD or AutoCad skills.
    Conversational English.

    Preferred Qualifications
    Certification in Lean Six Sigma (e.g., Green Belt, Black Belt) or similar discipline
    At least one years experience in the boat manufacturing industry
    Familiar with utilizing PDCA Continuous Improvement model
    Familiarity with Rhino CAD software

    Work Environment
    This job operates in a professional office environment as well as on the manufacturing floor. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

    Physical Demands

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.


    While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be sitting at a desk and working on a computer for prolonged periods of time.

    Must be able to access and navigate all areas in the facility and access all machinery.
