- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' sensory, motor, and cognitive abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and students' educational goals.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in various settings, including classrooms, therapy rooms, and outdoor environments.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into students' educational programs.
- Monitor students' progress and adjust intervention plans as needed to maximize their functional independence and academic success.
- Provide training and support to school staff and parents on strategies for promoting students' development and independence.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other required records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Other related duties as required.
- Master's degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state of California.
- Previous experience working with children and adolescents in educational setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of evidence-based occupational therapy practices and interventions for diverse populations.
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet the unique needs of individual students.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in the field of occupational therapy.
