    Job Summary

    Sierra Foothills Academy is a K-12 school for children with Special needs. Our small school environment enables us to work more hands on with our students.


    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' sensory, motor, and cognitive abilities.
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and students' educational goals.
    • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in various settings, including classrooms, therapy rooms, and outdoor environments.
    • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into students' educational programs.
    • Monitor students' progress and adjust intervention plans as needed to maximize their functional independence and academic success.
    • Provide training and support to school staff and parents on strategies for promoting students' development and independence.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other required records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
    • Other related duties as required.
    Requirements / Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Master's degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
    • Valid license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state of California.
    • Previous experience working with children and adolescents in educational setting preferred.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
    • Knowledge of evidence-based occupational therapy practices and interventions for diverse populations.
    • Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet the unique needs of individual students.
    • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in the field of occupational therapy.

    Comments and Other Information

    Monday-Friday 7am-3pm Full and part time available. Medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance and 401K benefits are included. Relocation assistance also available.
