- Teaching English literature and writing to students in grades 9-12;
- Participating in team meetings to review curriculum and discuss student progress;
- Working collaboratively within the English Department and High School Faculty
- Student advising
- Other duties as assigned by the High School Principal
- A minimum of a BA in English, English education or a related field is required. An MA degree is preferred.
- Minimum three years of successful teaching experience working collaboratively at the high school level.
- Experience in differentiated instruction, student-centered instruction and working with students with diverse learning needs preferred.
- Fluency with technology required.
- Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice (DEIJ) required.

The Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School in Rockville, MD is seeking candidates to fill the position of High School English Teacher for the academic year.
