- Supervise a team of three professionals.
- Ensure grant compliance and program evaluation.
- Manage budgets for federal and local funding.
- Coordinate program implementation and evaluate performance.
- Provide technical assistance to community partners.
- Participate in collaborative internal and external workgroups to promote homeownership opportunities.
- Nine years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree in urban/city planning, business administration, or public administration with five years of experience.
- Experience in program development and evaluation, real estate, or community development.
- Knowledge of affordable housing finance, program evaluation, and policy analysis.
- Ability to manage staff, support team goals, and prepare reports and proposals.

Description
The Housing and Economic Development (HED) department is looking for a skilled housing finance professional to join the Housing Development and Finance division as the Federal Programs Manager. In this role, you will lead the federal programs unit, overseeing policies and strategies for the HOME Investment Partnership Program and Community Development Block Grant allocations from HUD. Your main goal will be to utilize federal resources effectively to enhance and maintain affordable housing in Hennepin County.
Location and hours:
This position is a mix of on-site at the 701 Building, 701 4th Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55415, and remote work as needed. Work hours are flexible, Monday – Friday, 8 – 4:30, with a requirement for candidates to be based in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.
New employees joining remote or hybrid roles between January 2, 2022, and December 31, 2024, will receive support for establishing internet connectivity after six months of employment.
