    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced Med Surg Charge Nurse to coordinate total nursing care for patients in a community setting.

    Responsibilities include participating in patient and family teaching, providing leadership, and ensuring professional nursing standards in the clinical environment.

    Responsibilities

    Coordinate total nursing care for patients.

    Participate in patient and family education.

    Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel.

    May be asked to work as a backup Charge Nurse.

    Float to any unit within scope of practice as needed.

    Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

    2 years recent Med Surg rehabilitation experience.

    Charge RN experience is required.

    Previous travel experience of at least 3 months is required.

    Vermont RN License or Compact License.

    Active American Heart Association BLS certification.

    Active American Heart Association ACLS certification.
