Job Description

Purpose: This position requires the level of knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to diagnose and repair all makes of medium & heavy-duty equipment. Some duties include removing, cleaning, repairing, reinstalling, and adjusting vehicle components, including engine components, fuel systems, and the like. Other responsibilities of the position also include ensuring work orders are completed properly, selecting the appropriate course of action for repairs, and performing road calls and emergency services as dictated by customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems for machinery and equipment
• Inspect and repair forklifts, tractors, and trailers
• Perform all required maintenance inspections and safety checks as required
• Help service customers with their equipment
• Troubleshoot and submit repair bids to Service Manager
• Perform required Preventive Maintenance (oil change, lube, filter changes, etc.)
• Submit all paperwork to Equipment Service Manager on a timely basis
• Effectively and consistently communicate with Equipment Service Manager
• Assist in the training process of new employees

· Perform other duties as required by the Equipment Service Manager
