    Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring a Device Clinic Specialist for a full-time role in Charlottesville, VA. This position is Day Shift (8 or 10-hour shifts) and a background in cardiology is strongly preferred.

    The Heart Arrythmia Center at Sentara Martha Jefferson has a small team environment highly specialized in cardiac monitoring including pacemakers, defibrillators and other implanted devices used to monitor patients. Monitoring can take place remotely and on-site during MRI's, Endoscopies and other procedures. "This is one VERY cool job". - The team at the arrythmia center.

    The Device Clinical Specialist facilitates optimal clinical effectiveness of implanted cardiac devices through the application of technical knowledge and skills to evaluate device function and assist with device management in outpatient, procedural and inpatient settings.

  • Master's Degree Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology OR a Licensed RN with 2 years of clinical experience.
  • Clinical Experience required.
  • IBHRE CCDS certification within 5 years of hire.
  • ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
  • All Registered Nurses who do not have their BSN will be required to sign a BSN Agreement committing to successfully obtain their BSN within 5 years of hire.

    Job Summary

    RN-Associates Degree or
    RN-Bachelors Degree or
    Masters Degree Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology

    IBHRE CCDS certification within 5 years of hire preferred
