Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Oakland, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm, clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license and an armed guard card or license. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.

Perform armed patrol duties, including regular and random patrols of lobbies, offices, ATM areas, parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.

Monitor alarms, cameras and access points as assigned, verify credentials for employees, visitors and vendors and document access activity per site requirements.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, reporting and coordination with site management and/or local law enforcement when needed.

Complete detailed written reports and logs, communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and client contacts and assist with opening and/or closing procedures as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.

Possess an armed guard card and/or license.

Be at least 21 years of age.

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Possess a guard card and/or license preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
