    Job Type Full-timeDescriptionSchedule: M-F 8a-5pLocation: The MOA FLOAT will travel between all of the Iredell Physician Network clinics based on a schedule.

    Compensation and Mileage reimbursement are available.

    The Certified/Registered medical assistant will provide support to the front and back office to ensure the clinic will operate efficiently.

    This position will provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors. The duties are to provide clinical support, assisting physicians and clinical staff with patient care. Measure vital signs.
    Recording patient information.
    Assisting with patient examinations.
    Providing patients with injections as directed by providers.
    Preparing blood samples for laboratory tests and administering tests.
    Performing clinical and administrative tasks in healthcare facilities as it relates to the clinical area.
    Working under the supervision of medical professionals. Assisting with health assessments, minor treatment, and sanitation.
    Maintaining patient files and medical records.
    RequirementsGraduated from an accredited medical assistant program, and Certified or Registered as a Medical Assistant from an accredited institution. If not certified/registered, must be within ninety days of hire.
    One year of professional experience in a healthcare practice setting preferred.
    Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
    Ability to provide business office procedures, accurate grammar, spelling, and punctuation to accurately process patient information. Positive attitude, maturity, professionalism, dedication, flexibility, and customer service skills required.
    Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to adapt and apply guidelines and procedures. Ability to exercise skills in the area of initiative, problem-solving, decision-making and multitasking. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions.
    Knowledge of organization policies, regulations, and common safety hazard precautions to establish a safe work environment.

    The individual must possess good interpersonal skills and be able to serve, without prejudice or judgment, clients with differing lifestyles, race, economic status, age, or religious affiliations.

    BLA Certification is required within 30 days of hire and must maintain an active certification.


    Physical Demands:

    Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and, sitting for extended periods of time.
