    KPC Promise Hospital of Amarillo: The CEO/CCO shall serve as the official representative of the Governing Board, and as such is responsible for all strategic and operational functions of the facility. Leading the facility senior management, he/she is responsible for developing and implementing the mission and vision of the facility as well as implementing plans for provision of patient care, patient care programs and policies and procedures that delineate how patient care needs are assessed and met by the institution. He/she has responsibility for meeting the goals and objectives of the facility, including all operational, financial (budget), and quality indicators. Leading the facility senior management team, he/she is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the KPC PROMISE brand, developing and maintaining positive physician relationships, and developing and maintaining positive relationships with all referral source facilities leadership teams. He/she promotes a culture that reflects the organization's mission and values, and encourages the development of high performing teams, rewarding positive performance and productivity.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Holds a current state license and maintains license renewal in accordance with the standards of the State Board of Nursing
    2. Possess a master's degree in nursing;
      1. Possess a master's degree in health care administration or business administration;
      2. Possess a master's degree in a health-related field obtained through a curriculum that included courses in administration and management; or
      3. Be progressing under a written plan to obtain the nursing administration qualifications associated with a master's degree in nursing.

    The plan shall:

    (I) describe efforts to obtain the knowledge associated with graduate education and to increase administrative and management skills and experience;

    (II) include courses related to leadership, administration, management, performance improvement and theoretical approaches to delivering nursing care; and

    (III) provide a time-line for accomplishing skills.

    1. Meets all state specific education/competency requirements for Nursing Leader.
    2. Minimum of three years of progressive leadership experience that is comparable to the Chief Clinical Officer's authority and responsibility, the education and experience of peer leadership positions and commensurate with the scope and complexity of the hospital
    3. Five years experience of nursing care (critical care preferred), treatment experience with the complex medical, surgical patient population, and comprehensive acute medical and therapeutic/rehabilitative care management
    4. Able to develop, plan, and implement programs
    5. Excellent communication skills, both interpersonal and written
    6. Strong leadership, managerial, and effective time management skills, as well as, profit/loss experience
    7. Functions independently in relation to decision making, planning, analysis, and problem resolution with input from appropriate leaders
    8. Must be able to read, write, and speak English
    9. Intermediate computer skills

    PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Physical: Walking - up to 25% Standing - up to 25% Kneeling - up to 10%

    Sitting - up to 80% Pushing - up to 10% Bending - up to 25%

    Squatting - up to 10% Pulling - up to 10% Reaching - up to 35%

    Lifting - up to 30 lbs. Wrist/Finger Movements - up to 90%

    Mental: Stress Level: High

    EXPOSURE RISK: Category II - Jobs in which required tasks normally do not involve exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues but which could result in Category I exposure.

    CERTIFICATIONS: BLS Certification, ACLS Certification preferred, Specialty Certifications recognized, PICC Line Insertion Certification recognized, Basic and Advanced Education Certifications recognized
