    General Summary:The Project Manager leads projects and project related work contributing value to the Operations Excellence Team, the Operations Excellence Manager, the Executive Director, and Gonzaba Medical Group (GMG). They perform as project leaders over assigned work and are capable professionals guiding cross-functional teams to success.They draw upon prior experience and demonstrate project skills to manage standard and complex project challenges.

    Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    General Requirements:All duties performed will be done accurately and in a timely manner.

    1. Act as project leader on projects assigned; organize all project work in accordance with team standards, learn from leadership and senior project managers on the team, and demonstrate solid project management fundamentals for project coordinators.
    2. Responsible for project outcomes during all phases of the project life cycle.
    3. Identify opportunities to improve how the team manages project work and provide recommendations for enhancements as appropriate.
    4. Conduct excellent stakeholder management through solid use of preferred communication methods and mediums.
    5. Approach all project work with the customer as primary focus.
    6. Exercise tact and courtesy when dealing with patients, visitors, providers, vendor representatives and co-workers.
    7. Participates in educational programs as appropriate or required.
    8. Work alongside and support other project coordinators and managers as directed.
    9. Participate in team and individual performance reviews.
    10. Take initiative to accomplish all project management responsibilities.
    11. Be available electronically or physically to your peers and leaders during work hours as agreed upon with your direct supervisor.
    12. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders as needed to accomplish primary project responsibilities.
    13. Other duties as assigned.
    Essential Job Responsibilities:
    1. Lead customers through all phases of project life cycle - definition, planning, execution, monitoring and closeout - maintaining appropriate documentation of scope, budget, schedule and any changes therein.
    2. Facilitate project meetings effectively - secure availability of stakeholders, provide meeting agendas, keep meeting participants on topic, capture action items, distribute notes to stakeholders afterward, and coordinate/follow up on action items to completion.
    3. Successfully manage projects across various business areas within GMG (e.g. IT, Construction, Process Improvement, Vendors, Products, and general Business Operations).
    4. Meet and exceed metrics or KPIs as identified by direct supervisor pertaining to organizational initiatives and projects.
    5. Manage and control changes to project scope, schedule or budget and communicate those changes as appropriate to the Operations Excellence Manager or Executive Director in a timely manner.
    6. Initiate the creation of project artifacts as needed (e.g. Project Charter, Schedule, Budget, Quality Control Documentation and Change Control Documentation).
    7. Responsible for updating all project artifacts as assigned and on a regular cadence.
    8. This position requires driving a company vehicle or a personal vehicle; therefore, employee must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess, and maintain a current valid Texas Driver License, and proof of current insurance to be subject for mileage reimbursement.
    Education and Training:Minimum high school education or equivalent. Bachelors in relevant field or equivalent experience required.Project Management Professional (PMP) is highly preferred.

    Experience:Minimum three (3) years related work experience with demonstrated knowledge of project management practices and awareness of software used to track and control projects.

    Other Requirements: Computer Skills: Knowledge of and proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite (primarily Outlook, Word, Excel). Knowledge of and demonstrated use of project control application/software (e.g. Smartsheet, Jira, Asana, MS Project, or others).

    Work Environment:This role is primarily in an office environment, though there may be periods of time spent in clinic or construction environments depending on projects assigned. Exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations, and other conditions are common to a clinic environment. Exposure to debris, dust, sharp objects, chemicals, and electricity are common to construction environments. Gonzaba Medical Group will provide training and appropriate PPE as required to be successful and safe in your work environment.

    Mental / Physical Requirements:Requires manual dexterity, sitting, standing, stooping, reaching, kneeling, crouching, bending, walking, lifting up to 40 lbs. without assistance. Close vision and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to work efficiently under moderate pressure or time constraints.
