Experienced Physician Assistant (PA-C) – Spine Surgery
Full-Time | Outpatient + Intraoperative Role
Location: Multiple Locations – New Jersey
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Combination of Clinic and ASC Surgical Days
Travel: Required between New Jersey locations
Compensation: $120,000 – $155,000 base salary + performance-based bonus + full benefits
About Our Practice
We are a high-volume spine and interventional practice specializing in advanced outpatient spine care and minimally invasive surgical procedures. Our model integrates clinic-based management with ambulatory surgical center (ASC) procedures, delivering comprehensive spine treatment in a structured, efficient environment.
We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA-C) with demonstrated intraoperative spine surgery experience to join our expanding team.
This is a surgical-focused position requiring confidence in both outpatient clinical management and operating room performance.
Position Overview
The Physician Assistant will work directly with the spine surgeon across multiple outpatient and ASC locations.
Outpatient Responsibilities
- Evaluation and management of spine patients
- Pre-operative assessment and surgical planning support
- Post-operative follow-up and complication monitoring
- Imaging review (MRI, CT, X-ray)
- Documentation and EMR management
- Coordination with ASC and scheduling teams
Intraoperative Responsibilities
- First assist in spine surgery (open and minimally invasive cases)
- Tissue handling, exposure, retraction, and closure
- Hemostasis management
- Maintaining sterile technique and surgical field integrity
- Intraoperative collaboration with surgeon and anesthesia team
- Supporting efficient OR workflow
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program
- NCCPA certification required
- Active Pennsylvania PA license (or eligibility)
- Minimum 2–3 years of spine, orthopedic, or neurosurgical experience preferred
- Documented intraoperative first-assist experience
- Strong knowledge of spinal anatomy and surgical principles
- Comfortable in high-volume outpatient and ASC settings
- Willingness to travel between Pennsylvania practice locations
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $120,000 – $155,000 (based on experience)
