    The Radiation Oncology Quality Coordinator will be accountable to improve the departments overall performance as it relates to Quality, Patient Safety and Accreditation reporting. They will collaborate with the Department Managers/Directors ensuring data collection, maintenance, analysis, and dissemination of quality metrics, safety recommendations, research, and compliance findings. The Quality Coordinator must also be able to design, manage and implement a variety of projects and improvement activities across multiple academic and operational departments. S/he will be directing and /or collaborating with a diverse range of internal and external contacts,

    Major Responsibilities:

    • Develops and reviews program's mission, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
    • Ensures department's preparedness for regulatory inspections such as DPH, Joint Commission and ACR. Conducts mock inspections and self-audits. Accompanies inspector and assists them in performing inspections.Responsible for maintaining programmatic national accreditation.
    • Leads and performs a variety of analytical studies of targeted programs to provide the basis for management decisions that will result in significant improvements in outcomes. Prepares and presents the findings of these analyses to a variety of groups, including physicians, nurses, administrators, other senior leaders. Component parts of these analyses may include but are not necessarily limited to data source integrity, validation of tools, clinical correlation, design of studies and design of improvement interventions.
    • Leads and assists in the management and execution of high-level QA/Regulatory/Safety/Decision Support projects.
    • Advises staff regarding program policies, requirements, and progress.
    • Conducts ongoing program assessment.
    • Maintains current knowledge of the profession and quality accreditation standards through continuing professional development.

    Position Qualifications:

    License/Certification/Education:

    Required:

    • Graduate of CAHEA-approved Radiation Therapy Technology Program.
    • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification or equivalent registration in radiation therapy.
    • Must have a valid Massachusetts license in Radiation Therapy.

    Preferred:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field.

    Experience/Skills:

    Required:

    • Three years' full-time experience as a Radiation Therapist.

    Preferred:

    • Previous Quality experience.
    • Previous EMR – ARIA/EPIC experience
