This position will have potential to lead into a CTO role.

Carbonsmith is a marketplace for carbon credits sold specifically by Direct Air Capture companies. In this rapidly evolving marketplace, trust is key, and automatically writing sensory data for auto-fulfillment of smart contracts is the future of trust in carbon markets. Any potential CTO should be able to see the long-term value proposition of carbon markets and marketplaces, as well as third-party trust in enabling the industry to grow to its potential.

The engineer should understand that this job will be mostly unpaid until we raise our first round, but a substantial amount of equity will be placed for them.

Capabilities: Python, javascript, , solidity.

Developer should have experience in python, javascript, , solidity.

Preferred experience includes:

- Building API's

- Building and deploying smart contracts in solidity

- Some level of building data pipelines

- Web app design and dev in react

- Library of end-to-end projects built and productionized

Benefits will include a salary increase after fundraise, as well as the potential to become CTO with an equity increase - given sufficient management ability and initiative shown.

Additional:

- Elevation to levels higher than engineer during early stage will depend on a combination of soft and hard skills

- A history of working in decarbonization or carbon capture is preferred but not necessary

- Not expecting around-the-clock commitment before fundraise, but future compensation (salary and equity) and upward mobility will be impacted by commitment level
