    Description

    The Communications Coordinator will work closely with the Director, Communications to create, implement, and oversee all internal and external communications efforts of the Foundation, with an emphasis on content creation, website management, and social media engagement.     Responsibilities

    • Drafts the annual editorial plan to ensure message consistency and recommends opportunities for cross-promotion.
    • Provides editorial support for and manages the production of all identity print materials, e.g., the annual report, call for awards, digital collateral, and acknowledgement pieces.
    • Provides support and guidance to chapters regarding brand and style guidelines.
    • Oversees the Foundation website including Chapter pages via the Help Desk and audit procedures, ensuring all content is kept up to date.
    • Drafts articles for the website and other publications that promote Foundation programs and activities.
    • Plans and oversees Foundation's social media activities, presence, and campaigns.
    • Coordinates and maintains schedule for Foundation blast e-mails and weekly e-newsletter.
    • Gathers metrics to track the Foundation's brand awareness, and monitors brand messaging throughout all Foundation communication vehicles/efforts.
    • Monitors and tracks Foundation's media coverage, and assists the Director, Communications and Marketing with media outreach efforts.
    • Any other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in communications, public relations or marketing.
    • Minimum of two years experience in a communications setting, with a strong background in digital communications.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to maintain accountability and work on multiple projects while functioning as part of a cooperative team.
    • Adobe Creative Suite experience preferred. Canva experience required.
    • WordPress experience preferred.
    • Experience working in a non-profit setting preferred.
