    CHILD & ADOLESCENT PSYCHIATRIST

    PSYCHIATRIC MENTAL HEALTH NURSE PRACTITIONER (PMHNP)

    $5,000 NEW HIRE SIGN-ON BONUS


    The Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner provides psychiatric/medical oversight and consultation, as well as direct psychiatric services to clients of Family Behavioral Health.

    This role works in collaboration with clinical supervisors and mental health clinicians in all services to ensure quality psychiatric care of consumers and quality clinical consultation to staff.

    The successful candidate will collaborate with community partners, colleagues, and families to provide family-centered, strengths-based, individually-tailored care to clients of Catholic Community Services in Portland, OR.

    Opportunity to work with innovative therapeutic team who are serving youth and families in their home and community.
    Full-time or part-time (up to 30 hours per week) employment.
    Hybrid position with services primarily provided via telehealth. Youth with special needs or on controlled medications do require in person appointments at times. Providers should expect to provide in-person services in our inner southeast Portland office 1-3 days per month. Conducts psychiatric assessment of youth in services.
    Participates in regular intervention reviews and ongoing treatment planning for all consumers.
    Meets regularly and as needed with consumers for medication monitoring/management; Provides regular psychiatric/medical consultation and direction to clinical staff.
    Participates in care coordination with community partners for higher levels of care or specialized treatment services.
    Provides after-hours, on-call consultation via phone, as needed.
    Provides consultation with PMHNP staff on complex cases or when requested.

    Psychiatrist should be:

    Legally licensed to practice medicine in Oregon State; ability to meet necessary privileging and credentialing criteria (JCAHO and NCQA).

    Two years' experience working with children and families in a clinical setting with strong knowledge of child and adolescent development and family systems.

    Demonstrated competence in assessment, diagnosis, medication evaluation and current, sound prescriptive practices for children experiencing mental illness.
    Ability to understand and work with child-serving systems (mental health, child welfare, education, juvenile justice/courts, public health, social services).
    Commitment to collaboratively teaming with staff from multi-disciplinary backgrounds.
    Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
    Demonstrated commitment to a workplace which embraces diversity.
    Demonstrated ability and willingness to consult with staff.
    Support and uphold the mission, beliefs and values of Catholic Community Services.
