    Summary of Job Duties:


    The Fiscal Support Analyst is responsible for performing a wide variety of fiscal related tasks that are standard or regular support duties within an assigned department or program and for researching financial data and preparing reports.

    This position is governed by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.

    Within the Walton College Accounting Center, this position is responsible for providing accounting support and oversight of business and financial transactions for the College; providing support for the development and training of College staff and faculty regarding compliance with UA and College policies and procedure; assisting in the improvement of business processes in the College; and the effective use of the following computer applications:
    Workday, Blackbaud, and Microsoft Office Suite applications.


    Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.



    Qualifications:

    Qualifications:


    • Bachelor's degree in general business, finance, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education
    Equivalent years of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree

    • At least three years of related experience
    • Experience in procurement

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Knowledge of accounting principals and database management
    • Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and policies of assigned section
    • Knowledge of customer service techniques
    • Knowledge of Microsoft software applications, specifically Excel
    • Ability to comprehend and assimilate technical and business-related documents
    • Ability to apply policies and procedures and other applicable regulations associated with assigned department or program
    • Ability to conduct research, perform quantitative quality assurance reviews, and prepare reports
