- Conducts initial reviews of various medical record documentation to ensure compliance standards are met.
- Complies medical records for records requests and prepares for the release of information.
- Order tracking
- Maintains compliance with transfer summary requirements
- Tracks referrals for analytic purposes.
- Insurance authorizations as needed
- Referral processing/intake support as needed
- Runs designated reports for leadership
- Manages and issues iPads and associated equipment
- Benefit and payroll support as needed
- Complete other assignments as requested and assigned
- May have access to personal health information (PHI) necessary to fulfill the above duties and responsibilities. Access to use and ability to disclose PHI is further defined by each organization/department.
- Associate degree or equivalent years of experience
- 2 to 3 years of experience with Electronic Medical Records is highly desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; strong analytical, organizational and time management skills required.
- Accurate data entry skills. Proficient with MS Office and able to learn new applications rapidly.
- Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organizational skills.
- Works as a member of an interdisciplinary group
- Demonstrated ability to effectively analyze and problem solve.
- Able to effectively communicate with clinical and non-clinical employees, patients, and family/caregivers
- Perform and prioritize multiple functions or tasks
