    Key Responsibilities:

    • Recruitment, Onboarding and Offboarding:
    • Collaborates with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and understand the skills and competencies required for openings.
    • Sources, recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; manages the background check process and facilitates the onboarding process.
    • Conduct exit interviews and facilitate the offboarding process.

    Employee Relations:

    • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
    • Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
    • Conduct investigations into employee complaints and ensure compliance with Firm policies and legal regulations.

    Performance Management and Development and Annual Compensation Process:

    • Support the performance appraisal process by providing guidance to managers and employees.
    • Work closely with senior management to ensure focus is on developing identified talent/succession planning and ensure employees are being rewarded and promoted appropriately during year-end compensation process. Conduct market research and internal and external pay analysis.
    • Identify training and development needs to enhance employee performance and career growth.

    Policy Compliance:

    • Managing timekeeping activities including following up with managers and supervisors to ensure all timecards are approved, answering routine questions about timekeeping and the timekeeping system, and ensuring FLSA standards are met.
    • Understanding the Firm's human resources policies and answering most questions independently; using appropriate judgment to collaborate and escalate complex questions and issues as appropriate; following up to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
    • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures that align with Firm goals and legal requirements.
    • Stay current with employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance in all HR practices and labor laws, including EEOC, FMLA, and ADA.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree
    • 3+ years of experience in HR roles, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
    • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with management and employees at all levels.
    • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
    • Proficiently utilizes HRIS systems, other software applications relevant to human resources and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Well-versed in labor laws and regulations, encompassing knowledge of EEOC, FMLA, ADA, as well as other federal, state, and local statutes.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
