Communications Agency in New York City, is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their growing Finance team. Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting, strong excel and 2-3 years of experience as a Financial Analyst is required.

Financial Analyst Responsibilities:

• Financial Analyst will assist in the preparation of monthly reporting, for distribution to senior management
• Successfully assist in the coordination of budgets
• Handle and prepare monthly management reports, identify and communicate areas of concern
• Financial Analyst will ensure all reporting needs are met with finance teams
• Monitor and report on the financial performance of the firm
• Prepare all financial submissions for firm
• Update and maintain all schedules on a monthly basis, identify and develop new reports that are beneficial to management.
• Financial Analyst will provide management with monthly financial reports describing results to date, forward projections compared to budget and commentary around noticeable trends
• Work closely with finance and accounting departments in the firm, updating financial and operational reports for senior management
• Financial Analyst will help to ensure that the finance team and senior management are receiving timely and accurate information in order to make operational business decisions.

Financial Analyst Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2-3 years of Financial Analyst experience is required
• Strong advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Hyperion software experience a plus
• Strong financial analysis; strong business acumen
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Self motivated, self starter, work well independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail, organized, strong time management skills, ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, in a proactive manner
