What you need to know

• Hourly Pay $28.69
• Monday-Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., 40 hours per week
• Full Time, Temporary (4-months assignment)
• Location Mesa
• Benefits Available – Medical, Dental, Vision, Term Life, Short-Term Disability

What you'll be doing

This position that will allow you to gain valuable experience assisting departments and divisions with the development and use of data analysis and reporting solutions that provides actionable insights and informs managerial decision-making to address social, economics, and City management issues and to drive improvements to the City's delivery of services.

• Learn to analyze data to include descriptive (what happened) and diagnostic (why did it happen).
• Help with predictive and prescriptive analysis methods depending on business need.
• Learn to apply methods that provides insights and improves understand of business problems.
• Develop the skill to use a variety of software and visualization tools to create, manage, and maintain data visualizations.
• Performs related duties as required.

What skills & experience you'll bring to us

• Completion of first year of Master's Degree program in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Data Science, Public Administration, Organizational Development, Management Sciences, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field OR two years of work experience in data analytics.
• Experience in a quantitative field using statistical, analytical software (examples: SQL Tool, Microsoft Excel, Power Bl, etc.) is desired.
• Must pass a background investigation through the City of Mesa Police Department.
