- Manage and support DEI programs and initiatives in line with the DEI strategy.
- Manage Avangrid's BRGs, manage BRG calendars and schedule quarterly interactions with Executive Sponsors.
- Oversee and manage the budget allocated for our DEI initiatives. This involves careful planning, allocation, and monitoring of funds to support our projects and goals.
- Be the primary point of contact for internal and external DEI-related communications. This includes handling queries, suggestions, and feedback that come through our dedicated DEI inbox.
- Assist in implementing, and facilitating DEI learning and activities for leaders and employees.
- In collaboration with People Ops & Talent Ops, track and report trends and statistics.
- Coordinate community partnerships.
- Represent Avangrid at external diversity events to promote our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
- BS in Human Resources or related field, required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Certifications relating to this position is a plus.
- 5 + years of experience in a Program/Project Manager position.
- Experience with DEI preferred.

In this newly created role, the DEI Manager will play a critical role in advancing Avangrid's DEI strategy and priorities and fostering a culture of equity and inclusion. You will partner with key leaders, stakeholders and Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) across the business to drive execution of DEI initiatives. Additionally, you will track metrics, and develop reports that measure results and inform decision making. You will also partner closely with HR and business/functional leaders to strengthen Avangrid s brand reputation through affective communications and internal and external promotion of diversity and cultural initiatives that support our values.
The Diversity Officer will support the Commonwealth Wind (CWW) Project Team (development, workforce development and supply chain). The position will be tasked with supporting the DEI and Environmental Justice populations implementation metrics for Commonwealth Wind bid commitments and the Project Labor Agreement. The Diversity Manager will also monitor future DEI adjustments as needed on CWW and identify additional DEI opportunities with DEI stakeholders and serve as the accountability officer for the Access and Opportunity Committee under the Project Labor Agreement.
