    DAL-TECH, a SAFEbuilt company, is currently seeking a talented Associate Civil Design Engineer with water, wastewater, paving and drainage design experience to join our team.

    This position serves in a lead technical and design role to work with other design engineers and technicians and oversee all aspects of Municipal Engineering design projects and work under Senior Engineer.


    DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Experience ranging from water, wastewater, paving and drainage design experience.
    The position requires design, technical knowledge, and ability in applying principles of engineering.
    Preparation and review of engineering design plans and specifications.

    Responsible for the quality of civil engineering work performed, client service, reputation of the office, contract management, billing collection, and project profitability for roadway, utility, and land use engineering and other projects.

    Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of engineering projects to ensure that goals or objectives of these projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.

    Ability to work across various Disciplines to produce complete projects as scoped.
    Coordinates activities of Project Engineers and Technicians to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.

    Oversees work involving the preparation of design using local (State, County or City) or AASHTO standards at both conceptual and final design levels.

    Maintains positive relationships with current and past clients as assigned.
    Serves as a representative of DAL-TECH at meetings, presentations, and public hearings/reviews relative to assigned projects.

    Develops, reviews and obtains confirmation of financial and project delivery schedule activities of design and construction as they relate to all disciplines involved.

    Assures that project team complies with the contract agreement as well as exercises rigid cost control to implement the approved design within established budget restraints.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required
    Minimum 2-3 years of experience in municipal civil engineering with progressive project management experience is a plus.
    Texas EIT license
    Experience working with the Texas Department of Transportation is preferred.
    Experience with Microstation and GEOPAK is required. OpenRoads is preferred.
    Experience with Civil3D is required.
    Experience with project collaboration software is preferred (e.g. ProjectWise)
    Experienced and promoter of quality methods
    Candidate with established local client relationships preferred
    Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skill
