    Job Description Summary

    Coordinates the activities of the outpatient phlebotomy team with technicians and technologists to provide quality and continuity of blood specimen collection, internal paper flow, and distribution of patient laboratory reports.

    Works with the other Outpatient Departments to better serve the patients in the outpatient area. Oversees informational flow between the Outpatient Lab and external physician offices and clinics.
    Job Description

    QUALIFICATIONS:


    High School diploma or equivalent, training in an accredited school for certified medical office assistants or equivalent, plus a minimum of two years' experience in phlebotomy technique; High School diploma plus on the job training in clerical and phlebotomy procedures plus three years' experience in phlebotomy techniques.

    LANGUAGE/ COMMUNICATION

    SKILLS:
    Effective verbal communications skills.
