Crane Aerospace & Electronics is looking for a skilled individual to join the Fluid Management Group team at their Elyria, OH facility as a CNC Setup Machinist. This opportunity is for the 2nd Shift (Monday-Friday, 3pm-11:30pm).

Responsibilities

• Process materials through machining and finishing operations in a collaborative cell environment.
• Maintain cell inventory.
• Set up and operate machines, inspect parts, deburr, perform flush and chip check, and subassembly tasks.
• Use manual mills, drills, and gauges as needed.
• Ensure finished products meet manufacturing outline and blueprint specifications.
• Mark parts according to blueprints and specifications.
• Handle part cleaning and movement.
• Undergo annual eye exams.
• Verify product quality and maintain process control using measuring devices.
• Keep records of completed sequences and processes.
• Conduct rework, secondary operations, routine maintenance, and safety checks within the cell.
• Inspect work to ensure it meets standards at each operational step.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Complete assigned duties from the department supervisor and utilize computers for database access.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• Prior CNC machining experience.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills for necessary calculations.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, detail sheets, and instructions.
• Knowledge of fixtures, cutting tools, CNC controls, and machines.

Physical Demands

• Standing, bending, lifting, and stretching for extended periods.
• Occasional lifting of parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent lifting of parts weighing up to 30 pounds to a height of 5 feet.

Salary range: $33.00 to $37.00. Actual salary depends on experience, skills, and qualifications.
