    Job Description

    Support Wellmark's business continuity program including development, implementation, documentation, testing and maintenance. Will work under the guidance and direction of the Sr Business Continuity Specialist.

    Associate's Degree in related field or direct and equivalent work experience


    Minimum of one year work experience in the field of business continuity, disaster recovery, emergency management or other related field.


    Strong problem-solving skills to recognize patterns in data or events and to draw logical conclusions and make recommendations for action and to plan and implement policies and procedures.


    Demonstrated proficiency in personal computer skills; experience using Microsoft Office software products; proficiency in keying and software program features based on required assessments.


    User expertise and experience with software application programs or a strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn new systems quickly.

    Strong written and verbal communication skills including, but not limited to, writing reports, emails and documents for internal/external audiences, and presenting to various internal audiences

    Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships of trust

    Travel required up to 5%

    A valid driver's license.

    Previous IT experience, including understanding of system integration

    Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP)

    Knowledge of health insurance operations and/or products and services

    Additional Information

    a. Support business continuity semi-annual plan updates based on information received. Provide assistance in evaluating, developing, and maintaining Business Continuity preparedness.

    b. Communicate significant plan changes to the Business Continuity team for evaluation.

    c. Provide support in analyzing and monitoring all reports related to the Business Continuity agenda and requirements. Respond to business queries regarding business continuity.

    d.

    Ensure business areas maintain up to date business continuity plans and track compliance against agreed schedule of maintenance, review and test activities.

    Assist with the maintenance of the business continuity plans.

    e. Assist with implementation, training, testing and maintenance of response and recovery processes, and conducting exercises.

    f. Will partner with the Senior Business Continuity Specialist to review findings and work with business units to mitigate risk.

    g. Document business infrastructure data used to update in the business continuity database. May assist with disaster recovery application maintenance.

    h. Participate in walk through exercises and update plans with changes identified in the walk through.

    i. Work to build strong relationships and learn business operations to understand corporate business continuity standards.

    j.

    Provide 24/7 on call support during any emergency which may require activation of all or part of the business continuity plans.

    k. Other duties as assigned.
