    ? About This Opportunity

    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Regulatory Compliance Analyst plays a crucial role by ensuring the business operates in accordance with all legal and regulatory requirements and standards including independent handling of regulatory violations. This will include researching jurisdictional regulatory requirements, obtaining facts of violations, working toward resolving violations and civil money penalties and drafting and filing timely corporate responses to various regulatory agencies. Duties also include identifying compliance gaps to be addressed through training by coordinating with training teams to implement training so compliance gaps can be filled. Requires a keen sense of urgency while working with a high volume of cases. Excellent people and writing skills required since position is the face of the company with regulators.

    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

    • Identifying, monitoring, and addressing regulatory violations for company?operated stores including Alcohol, Tobacco, Plastics bans, SNAP, among other regulatory violations and permitting and licensing matters.
    • Liaison to corporate licensing, permitting and renewal teams and assist in addressing entity and license? related conflicts before violations occur.
    • Liaison to State Alcohol and Tobacco Regulatory agencies to address suspension and violations regarding licenses.
    • Address issues relating to Food/Restaurant Licenses, USDA SNAP Liaison, TX ABC Compliance Audits, Sale of age?restricted products to minors.
    • Resolve license compliance issues when required.
    • Reporting, databasing and documenting compliance matters.
    • Provide recommendations to mitigate compliance with SEI Departments/Teams such as Fuel Compliance, Asset Protection, IT, training, HR, Tax, Real Estate and Legal.
    • Draft responses advocating lesser penalties regarding fines imposed by regulatory agencies.
    • Create processes as to when regulatory issues need to be appropriately escalated from store level to leadership.
    • Creating and implementing documented regulatory compliance processes/procedures to include assisting field communication and development of job aids.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelors/4 Year Degree
    • 5 years of experience
    • National Association of License & Compliance Professionals (NALCP)
