SOS Virtual Academy is looking for an enthusiastic part-time instructor/teacher to tutor a 6th grade student. Certified teachers are encouraged to apply.

The ideal candidate is:

• Comfortable working with children aged 3-14 years
• Proficient in Math
• Has a degree in teaching or similar
• Punctual and organized

Primary duties are:

• Create a positive and engaging learning environment for the student.
• Teach/provide instruction to the students.
• Assess student progress and provide timely written feedback on assignments.
• Personalized Tutoring: Lead one-on-one sessions, making each lesson fit the student's needs.
• Understand & Plan: Figure out what each student needs to learn better and make lesson plans just for them.
• Use Different Ways to Teach: Keep students interested by using various teaching methods and materials.
• Track & Encourage: Keep an eye on how students are doing and give them feedback to help them get better.
• Work as a Team: Communicate with parents and discussing their child's progress from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience working the children
• Collaborative and strong interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experienced teacher, tutor, or paraprofessional with strong math skills

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $70 per hour
