    Choice Hotels, one of the world's largest lodging franchisors, has an exciting new opportunity as our Project Manager, Brand & Creative Marketing in the Marketing & Communications Department.

    The Marketing & Communications team manages B2B and B2C marketing efforts for Choice Hotels, driving awareness, consideration and growth for our family of hotel brands through all channels.

    As a key member of our Marketing & Communications team, you will oversee process and execution of brand and creative marketing initiatives for Choice Hotels.

    Working with the Manager, Brand Advertising & Marketing, the project manager manages the implementation of marketing campaigns and projects.

    Your Responsibilities


    Manages multi brand creative projects and campaigns, including managing relationships with outside vendors/agencies and maintaining records and budget tracking for all assigned projects.

    Managing and tracking the creative production process from project brief to launch.
    Works to develop strong, collaborative and positive relationships with other department team members, company employees, agencies and partners.
    Drafts creative briefs, and proof-reads drafts and briefs; demonstrating a deep understanding of projects and initiatives being managed.

    Reviews, filters and compiles changes requested by others before sending back to Creative/Agency and project team; Ensures all creative materials are on brand and on strategy, as outlined in the brief.

    Ensures all graphic elements and content have been cleared by Legal and all corporate and brand identity standards are used correctly.

    Follows up on open items and communicates with internal groups, like creative teams and stakeholders, to help keep projects on schedule and on budget.

    Writes conference reports from internal meetings and follows up with agencies to ensure conference reports are provided, and verifies them for accuracy, requesting changes as required.

    Participate in weekly project status meetings with agency and reviews reports for accuracy.
    Gather and compile data for measuring success and ROI of campaigns.
    Owning asset management & project management tool; assisting marketing & communications teams with onboarding & process questions.

    Your Experience, Skills & Competencies


    Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field, from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience, is preferred.

    A minimum of 4 years relevant experience in marketing/communications at an advertising agency, in-house advertising/marketing communications department, or brand management function.

    Good understanding and knowledge of integrated marketing communication in both traditional and new media, and strong understanding of how to implement projects within an advertising and marketing environment.

    Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
    Strong interpersonal skills and demeanor; Strong verbal, written and listening communication skills.
    Excellent project management skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.

    collaboration, performance excellence, and sense of urgency.

    Your Team

    This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Manager, Brand Advertising & Marketing. You will have 1 peer teammate and collaborate with cross functional departments on a regular basis.

    Your Work Location


    As our Project Manager, Brand & Creative Marketing, you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art worldwide corporate headquarters in North Bethesda, MD.

    Less than 15 miles from Washington, DC, we're located within walking distance from the North Bethesda Metro station, with service on the Red Line and the MARC Brunswick line, easy access to I-270, and plenty of free parking provided by Choice Hotels.


    Right now, our associates in North Bethesda, MD are working in a hybrid environment, up to 4 days per week in the office and virtual from your home office the remaining days.

    We provide flexibility and encourage ongoing communication with your leadership to establish expectations about your unique needs.

    Frequent nationwide travel will be required 5% of the time.
