The Certified Nursing Assistant Instructor position provides instructional support for a U.S. Department of Labor Job Corps contractor. The Job Corps program is a federally-funded residential training program. Job Corps' mission is to educate and train youth ages 16-24 for successful careers in the nation's fastest-growing industries.Summary of Duties:
The CNA Instructor is
r esponsible for providing students with industry recognized instruction, certification, and training, leading to full-time jobs, higher education, or advanced training.
Significant Responsibilities:
Develops and prepares lessons.
Recommends curriculum changes and supplemental materials.
Controls use of equipment and supplies; makes minor repairs and recommends purchases.
Works with the disability accommodation team to review accommodations and make recommendations for changes or modifications to accommodations.
Adapt and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
Ensure the classroom is well organized and conducive to student learning, while holding students accountable for following dress code/behavioral standards of conduct.
Follows curriculum guidelines, organizes program of practical and technical instruction, including demonstrations of skills required in trade.Education/Experience:
State of Louisiana Registered Nursing (RN) Credential Required
Minimum of two years nursing experience, at least one year of which must be in the provision of long-term care facility services and have experience supervising nurse aides.
