    This Network Security Engineer position will be joining our Gladiator Security Operations blue team that is a recognized leader in providing network and information security services exclusively to financial institutions.

    Gladiator provides comprehensive services that include around-the-clock management, correlation, and monitoring of multiple security layers specifically designed and developed for financial institutions to safeguard information assets, IT infrastructures, and business continuity by identifying and addressing internal and external security breaches.

    As a Network Security Engineer, you will be tasked with providing remote support for customers and will be involved with working client change requests or troubleshooting firewall and networking issues.

    The environment you will be working in requires working on Fortinet, SonicWall, and Cisco next-generation firewalls as well as a wide variety of cutting-edge security tools and applications that support the Information Security programs at over 1,000 banks and credit unions across the United States.

    On a daily basis, the engineer will assist in configuring, implementing, and managing a variety of security controls to better protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of customer information technology assets while interacting and collaborating with a team of over 20 network security engineers.

    Security technologies used for this position include but not limited to Event Manager (SIEM), Firewalls, network based IPS, and other security related applications/appliances.

    This position will incorporate direct contact with external clients through phone and email. Jack Henry provides strong opportunity for career progression not only within Gladiator but across the organization as well.
    The target salary range for this position is $62,9424 - $89,862, based on location and experience.
    This is a hybrid position that requires you to come to the office 1 day per week (Wednesday).

    The remaining time you may work remotely from home, and must be able to attend either of our Jack Henry office locations in Alpharetta, GA or Springfield, MO.


    What you'll be responsible for:

    • Client Firewall configuration change requests and updating configuration of various other network security components.
    • Perform systems monitoring, log reviews and analysis to identify when system has moved out of compliance. Use tools to determine appropriate actions to take.
    • Respond to alerts and security related issues.
    • Perform incident analysis; identify unauthorized access to systems.
    • Provide moderately complex troubleshooting and customer support regarding security related issues.
    • Respond to vulnerability findings and assist with remediation when applicable.
    • Provide support for security-related projects as assigned.
    • May perform other job duties as assigned.

    What you'll need to have:

    • A minimum of 18 months of experience troubleshooting technical issues in such roles as: helpdesk, desktop, and/or network support.
    • Experience in providing internal or external customer service support.
    • Ability to stay organized and adaptable to different situations and issues that may arise.
    • Travel up to 5% to attend a Jack Henry meeting in another office location, training, and/or conferences.

    What would be nice for you to have:

    • Blue team experience.
    • Ability to safeguard systems and databases from unauthorized access.
    • Ability to work with confidential materials and employee information while maintaining
    confidentiality at all times.

    • Security related certification such as Security , CySA, SSCP, CISSP, various SANS, CEH, CCSP, or similar required (or obtained within six months of hire), or a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or IT related field.
    • Wireshark experience.
