    Description

    The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Baylor Scott and White Health is seeking two Anatomic & Clinical Pathologists in Temple, Texas to assist with a growing demand for services in the area.

    Fellowship training in cytopathology is preferred.

    The successful candidates must have an MD degree (or MD equivalent), a valid Texas medical license (or qualifications to obtain one at the time of appointment) and be Board Certified or Board eligible in Anatomic Pathology.

    Applicants materials must list (pending) qualifications upon submission. Applicants with expertise in cytopathology either with a formal fellowship training or comparable experience and publications will be preferred.

    The pathologists in the Department of Pathology have opportunities for academic affiliationwith the new Medical School Campus of Baylor College of Medicine in Temple, Texas.

    The expected work schedule is Monday- Friday with evening and weekend call rotated approx.

    Primary responsibilities are in a 640-bed teaching hospital with an established and growing medical staff as also an academic center with 12 residents and 4 fellows in Pathology including 1 cytopathology fellow.

    The core laboratory in Temple receives more than 100,000 specimens annually and has numerous state of the art capabilities including primary digital sign out and an advanced molecular/ sequencing laboratory.

    Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Temple (BSWMC-Temple) is a 640-bed hospital located in the heart of Central Texas, and home to the only Level I Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.
