    Job Description

    Per Diem Dispensing Nurse LPN/LVN MedMark Treatment Center is seeking a meticulous and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse to distribute prescribed medications as part of a collaborative treatment team alongside Physicians and Nursing Supervisors. The dispensing nurse will also be responsible for maintaining dispensing equipment, overseeing medication inventory, and documenting patient treatment details. An ideal candidate for this role will work harmoniously with counseling staff and exhibit a non-judgmental approach towards individuals dealing with Substance Use Disorder.

    Responsibilities:

    • Administer daily medication to patients following program policies and medical guidelines
    • Utilize automated dispensing system(s), calibrate pump, and upkeep dispensing equipment
    • Generate and maintain accurate records and reports as per Company protocols and governmental regulations
    • Ensure adherence to security protocols for the distribution and storage of controlled substances as outlined in Federal regulations
    • Manage medication ordering, receiving, and stocking in compliance with DEA and State regulations
    • Conduct daily patient assessments
    • Assist Nursing Supervisor in training new nursing staff
    • Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the supervisor

    Qualifications:

    • Active and valid LPN/LVN license in Pennsylvania
    • Current CPR certification is mandatory
    • Proficiency in EMR & computer usage is desirable
    • Prior experience in chemical dependency is preferred; should be self-motivated with a positive attitude towards individuals undergoing substance abuse treatment
    • Successful completion of drug screening and background check
