    Purpose of position:
    To maintain the facility in a clean, sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition to provide a suitable environment for effective patient care, associate working conditions, and quest satisfaction

    Essential functions:
    Clean and service patient rooms, exam rooms, restrooms, offices, department areas, storage areas, hallways, lounges and lobby's.
    Utilizes chemicals following directions.
    Maintains equipment in a clean, orderly manner.
    Replenishes supplies of soap, paper towels, and tissue.
    Clean and makeup dismissal rooms.
    Maintains cleanliness of walls from floor to ceiling, including light fixtures and vents.
    Collect soiled linen, distribute clean linens.
    Be able to get to work on time consistently.

    RequirementsAdditional responsibilities:
    As directed by supervisor.

    On-call, will be part of a regular schedule for on call to cover nights, holiday and weekends on a rotating basis.

    Response time must be within 30 minutes.
    Floor care as assigned which may include stripping, waxing, and buffing.


    Education, qualifications, experience:
    High school diploma preferred.
    Previous experience in cleaning care preferred (hotels, schools, healthcare facilities, and stores).


    Personal characteristics:
    Good personal hygiene and neat appearance.
    Must be caring, considerate and have a pleasing personality.
    Must be dependable and punctual.


    Knowledge, skills and abilities:
    Must understand and demonstrate principles of effective cleaning and sanitizing or have the ability to learn this.
    Must have good observation skills.
    Needs good decision making skills.
    Required to read, speak and understand English. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
    Must have the ability to comprehend and follow new procedures.
    Must have the ability to work cooperatively with othersMust be able to execute duties without disturbance of patients.


    Expectation of Service:
    This is a non-exempt 40 hour per week position with a rotating schedule that includes weekends and holidays. Regular and punctual attendance is required.

    Equipment:
    Housekeeping cart, broom, mop, and dust mop, an assortment of cleaning tools, telephone, pager, and computer pad.
    Laundry carts and occasionally floor care equipment and laundry equipment.
