    Job Description

    The Speech Language Pathologist will work under the direction of the Therapy Program Manager to provide services focused on treating speech, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.

    Role and Responsibilities


    • Assess and evaluate speech, language, communication, and swallowing deficits.
    • Develop and implement effective treatment programs.
    • Recommend treatment options based on testing.
    • Establish goals for treatment.
    • Create accurate documentation.
    • Complete treatment sessions as prescribed by the residents Physician
    • Maintain communication with facility staff.
    • Work with dietician to monitor those with modified diets.
    • Maintain utilization management as set by the Therapy Program Manager
    Qualifications and Education Requirements


    • Degree in Speech and Language Pathology
    • Current state Speech and Language Pathology license
    Preferred Skills


    • Strong interdisciplinary communication skills
    • Familiarity with a variety of speech and cognitive disorders
    • Basic knowledge of developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries
